On location shooting is some of my favorite stuff to do! Not only do you get to photograph in some really interesting places but it also raises a challenge of working with the available light at your location and mixing it with the studio lights that you brought.
Mixing light is something most people don’t often think about while they are shooting and if you aren’t aware of it, your images can turn out looking nothing like what you planned on. If there’s a lot of artificial light in your location that you don’t want included in your images at all. then you really have to crank the power on your studio lights to overpower the artificial and vice versa if you want some of the environmental artificial light to be included in your image.
